Stirring Paint With Your Drill
This handy power stirrer can be made from a metal clothes hanger and used to quickly and easily mix the paint for your next project. Simply cut and bend the hanger into the proper shape and lock it in your drill. At low speeds this handy stirrer quickly mixes your paint.
For cans requiring longer mixing times you can use this stirrer with a drill press. Be sure to secure the paint can so the drill press's vibrations won't shake it off the table.
WARNING: This tip should only be use on latex (water) based finishes. Oil based finishes contain solvents like paint thinner that may become ignited from sparks in the drill's motor.
