This English Tudor set has been influenced by a set we found in a 1920 furniture book on English Furniture. The canted backs and the curved armrests make these pieces very comfortable to sit in. The double crested back lends a sense of style that fits well on any patio or deck. Traditionally built of Teak, they can also be made with California Redwood, White Cedar, White Oak, or other rot-resistant wood.. These woods are excellent choices and all will weather very well.
This Classic bench seat is constructed with pegged mortise and tenon joints to assure long life in an outdoor environment. The plan shows the double crest full sized. You will find this a very easy project to construct.
