| Pocket hole are a great way to attach two boards together with concealed screws. This method of construction is used frequently with cabinet (carcass) construction. The design of the pocket hole jig allows you to set and lock in the position of the hole from 7/8" to 3" apart. Then simply clamp the jig to the work piece and drill the hole. The 3/8" step drill is flat bottomed with carbide edges and a stop collar that can be secured at the required position with a set screw. The step drill has an integrated set screw for adjusting the depth and position of the 1/8" pilot bit. Three pilot bits are included with the kit. The pocket jig is made from cast aluminum with hardened steel bushings. PLEASE NOTE: The pocket hole bit pictured above has been replaced with a single piece design. |
