These shavehook scrapers are available in three design for use in applications where cabinet scrapers can't reach. The blades are ground to 45 degree angles and attached to the beech handles at a 90 degree angle. 

The variety of shapes conform to flat, convex, concave, and angled surfaces. They are useful for coarse wood removal as well as finish stripping and removal. In the coarsest applications the shavehooks scrapers can be edge ground. In more precise scraping applications a burnisher can be used to draw a scraping burr along the edge.
