Those old time barbers knew the secret to maintaining a razor sharp edge - a leather strop. Our modern woodworking strop is made from synthetic materials that eliminate the inconsistencies of leather and will outlast leather strops. The strop can be used to touch up the edge of chisels and tools to help maintain a good working edge.
Strop abrasive helps to speed the sharpening process. The Abrasive bar is used for quicker sharpening while the powder is used for finer sharpening.
The surface of the strop can be "renewed" with detergent & water. Strops are bound to their wooden handles with a rounded edge for honing insides of gouges and a 45" edge for the inside of V tools.
