This butcher block oil is made from pure USP Food-grade oils. It will not spoil or go rancid over time like other oils. The butcher block oil is crystal clear and free of any impurities that may react with your butcher block. To apply to a butcher block simply wipe on with a clean cloth and allow to soak in for five minutes before wiping off. Multiple coats may be needed at first with follow-up treatments every few months. Excess oil should be wiped off the surface. We recommend top-coating your butcher block with 100% natural Bees Wax polish. (Beeswax for butcher blocks is available in 8oz and 2oz cans) A light coating of beeswax will help to prevent water and food-liquids from soaking into the butcher block wood. The coating is food-safe and can be easily applied with a cloth.
