Here it is, the sandpaper made famous in our woodturning & woodworking classes. This sandpaper exceeded our expectations the first time we tried it. Mirka Goldflex is made from the highest quality aluminum oxide abrasives bonded to a resin infused paper and then backed with a soft open celled foam pad. This combination allows the pads to be easily shaped to the contours you are sanding. On flat surfaces, the paper helps to minimize spot over-sanding by evening out finger pressure across the pad.

You will be amazed at how well these sanding pads work. We’ve found that the Mirka Goldflex Soft pads are often a faster solution than using a power sander on small projects. The pads can be used to quickly clean, level, and smooth even the most precise areas. Used on a lathe for pen or woodturning, the pads even out, distribute pressure and contour to the projects shape. Mirka Goldflex stands up to high turning speeds and lasts a lot longer than “home project center” grade sandpapers. When working with acrylic pen blanks GoldFlex sanding pads can be used wet or dry.
